Marcus was awesome! One of the better experiences I've had as a customer in many years. He is solely responsible for our having refinanced our mortgage through Newrez. When we were initially looking into refinancing, I'd inquired with Newrez and was, it turned out, misinformed by a phone representative. That person told me that Newrez only serviced existing mortgages and did not do refinancing at all. Marcus took it upon himself to send me an email saying that he'd heard what had happened, to apologize on behalf of Newrez, and to let me know he'd be happy to help. We had already been looking into other refinancing options, but came back to do it through Newrez because of Marcus communicating in this way. Once the refinancing process was underway with Newrez, there were a couple of speed bumps along the way, but Marcus was always the person who stayed on top of things to keep the process moving forward, even when it was something that might not have been his direct responsibility. Through it all, he also always was a cheerful presence over the phone, and a pleasure to do business. Because of his persistence and dedication, we were able to complete the refinancing, and are happy with the process and the results. Thanks, Marcus!

Having NewRez as my current mortgage company - after they took on Caliber's made the choice relatively simple. When I first reached out to get this setup I was not impressed with the service provided. The loan application was closed and I could not get hold of the representative to reopen. Marcus took over the application after I complained and immediately ensured it progressed. He was great at updating me - often as the automated emails came in - and provided the level of service I'd expect.
