Easy process and good communication.

Everything was great until I changed the amount of the loan. I never heard from Jodi again and was 2 weeks until I heard from Miguel. A ohone call would have been appreciated to let me know ow what the hold up was. I asked for additional funds because it was relayed to me by Gabrielle that there were liens on the property which would lower the amount I walked away with. So I requested a larger loan. That?s when everything just stopped. I never heard from Jodi again and was up until then she was awesome, a good communicator and helpful. I just never heard from her again. Miguel finally called me 2 weeks later to go over new terms. I was disappointed. I was now borrowing less than the original amount. I just wanted the process over with. Then they wanted another appraisal. Like I said u just wanted it over with.

Jodi did a great job of walking us through the process. She kept us informed and presented options so we could make an informed decision. I also wanted to point out that she caught an issue with the escrow of our prior loan and corrected it so we would not be short in our account when our taxes were due.

Both Jody and Marquise were very very professional. They guided me through the whole process. Call me down when I got nervous and anxious. I was able to understand everything that was going on because of those two.

It took over 3 months to process the loan. It wasn?t that I didn?t submit information on time because I would submit everything I was asked for within 1 or 2 days. It would take weeks To get an update. Not to say the underwriters would ask for paper work, which would be submitted within 48 hours, and they would take weeks to ask for something else. Three months for an easy loan is not acceptable. It was frustrating. Ps. Jodi was helpful and responsive.

There were a lot of delays that involved me calling for updates.

The whole process was very easy. Was able to do the initial application in a short phone call, and submitted all documents on-line. I was updated frequently about the status of the loan, and once it was approved was able to sign all documents with a notary in my own home. Would definitely recommend NewRez.

Actually, my experience was good, not great or OK...Since my choices were "great" or "OK", I decided to do "Great" since Jody worked with me very well. However, my only issue that I have was the points that I had to pay. When originally requesting the loan, I was told about the percentage rate, but I was unaware that I had to use "points" to get to that rate. That kind of ticked me off... She tried to lower where she could, but I would tell friends/family to do a bit of research before going with one company. Looking for a company that gives as good of a rate without points would be better...

The process was easy

We were not informed up front that a home equity loan would go through a third party. We started the process in June and did not close until mid August.
