I went with Newrez because it was my current mortgage holder. I figured that would make things easier and faster. However it seemed as if no-one ever bothered to look at my existing account to use the information. I had to completely start as if I was never a customer. This seemed to make things take longer than expected. After the closing on my loan I received a check for a supposed credit card payoff. I was not aware of this part of the process and had already paid off that creditor. The amount of the check was only a fraction of the amount owed so I have no idea what the whole idea was about. I am still trying to get the check cancelled and the funds added to what I received in my disbursement. The people I dealt with the most, Samantha and Ryan were great. Some of the policies and methods used by the company seemed to be twisted. Overall I am satisficed and happy. Maybe your communications between departments could be better to alleviate some of the unnecessary paperwork and backtracking.

Everyone was very attentive to my needs and was able to achieve results in a timely manner

Cost me $2,500 on a condo purchase. Total failure to execute original contract I electronically signed.

Final dispersment of funds was not communicated properly and has now created some issues for me.

The process took 3.5 months. This is a long time for a refinance. Also, the points we agreed upon were not on our loan but at that time we just wanted to be done.
