Michel Flores communicated in a friendly manner. I did not appreciate having to use a Conventional loan verses a VA loan, however. When I had questions Michel was able to answer them in clear concise English that I could understand.

I was told it would take a month. It was almost two months. Kept requesting last minute paperwork. Would get useless emails where the header did not match what was in the email. I asked about it and was told to ignore it. I doubt anything will change. It is all in a days work for them, not so much for me.

The process in how well it flowed. I liked the notifications received to let me know where in the process things were and if I needed to sign or review any documents. The only thing is sometimes you need to actually talk to someone and everytime I would call it goes straight to voicemail so then I would send an email, but overall a Great experience.

We are very unhappy regarding the title companies used by Newrez. After refinancing in 2022 with Newrez, we were made aware at the time of this loan, of TWO liens against our property from 2006 that WE had to get cleared up. Not sure what we paid title companies both last year and with this loan for. It was a matter of calling the bank who purchased the lender that had placed the liens. After over two weeks of being advised that we could not close due to liens, we had the matter resolved in three days. Confidence in the title companies used by Newrez is nonexistent. Due to the added stress and in our opinion, completely unnecessary, not sure we will recommend Newrez.
