My biggest problem was with the title company - this isn't really NewRez' fault. Title365 was not knowledgeable on receiving payoffs from King County, and even managed to botch it in the process resulting in a sewage connection fee that would typically be deferred over years completely paid off rather than the amount needed to get it "current" and remove a lien from my home. This was a gross level of incompetence on their part, and I hope that NewRez reconsiders their business relationship with Title365 and their responsibilities. This, all in all, resulted in overpayment to the tune of ~$2000. This was even after Title365 requested my help in determining what the pay off would be to get it current, and my research finding a vastly different number than what was paid.
