good communication, made process easy and understandable

Everyone involved with this deal did what they said they would do.

Communications was an issue, especially the handoff between originator and processor. Renee, the processor, did an excellent job of keeping me informed and being proactive about potential problems. My perception is that NewRez itself has so many departments (and accompanying screens and passwords) that employees themselves have a difficult time keeping them straight. For example, Justin's boss did not respond to my inquiry about whether a particular vendor was in fact affiliated with NewRez , resulting in a 5 day delay.

Process was easy overall. One minor issue - I gave a total that I needed to pay off creditors and then wanted an additional 6,0000 to 6,500 in cash back. I know the creditor amounts had to come from credit report, but I had the latest amounts from CC statements. Now still have amounts to pay them and this will eat into the cash I needed back, which ended up being $1,000 less than I initially wanted. Not sure how this could have been fixed unless I just needed to ask for more cahs back to me.

Justin was a great loan officer and he kept me informed of the process from beginning to end. He was very pleasant to work with.

Justin was amazing. I had real issues with Malissa spiropolous over and over. She delayed my loan process by 2 weeks once, and then dropped the ball weekly, making extra rework for everyone involved. Very dissatisfied with her. I legit tried to file a complaint, but didn?t get heard.

Justin and Karissa kept me informed, answered all questions I had, answered emails much quicker than expected, and made sure I was comfortable with the process.

Malissa did not communicate as often that I felt that she should I had to reach out and sometimes calls weren't returned.
