I’m not real happy with Ryan. My wife told him up front that we didn’t qualify for 100% on our VA loan, he said yes you do. We knew that it was not 100% however we were told numerous times it was. This delayed us closing. All is well

Ryan did an outstanding job representing Newrez. From the very 1st phone call he was friendly, accommodating and followed through on everything he committed to. Giving Ryan a 10. However, Brady Williams was our first POC into Newrez for requested loan. Brady was the total opposite of Ryan and failed to return emails and phone calls from day one. He had total disrespect to our time and commitments we had with the home seller. Brady had to be replaced by Ryan, which was welcomed .

Overall great and easy process since we had out existing mortgage with them. My only concern was with the amount of money that we were using from our payout from the sale of our house wasn't updated to the right amount right away and had to have some conversations as we wanted to put more of that towards our new home with interest rates being higher these days.

The Alta 7 Endorsement that was needed on the title was a good thing. Allowing the county title approval paperwork being sufficient to underwrite the loan would have sped up the process. We had to wait nearly 8 weeks.

Sara Cowan and Denise Guillochon were assigned to my loan application records after a previous loan processor dropped the ball. They worked diligently to provide the underwriter with the requested information, and they communicated and kept me informed. Within four days Sara was able to review my file, submit the remaining documents to the underwriter and successfully have the loan approval.

Ryan and Kevin were always available to us and were completely on top of everything. Had an issue at the end and delayed our closing but by no fault of Ryan or Kevin.

My perception may be skewed because I was trying to expedite the process. I needed more communication from my loan officer regarding processing of items that were requested. I would submit items and not have confirmation that the items were received as well as if the items met the requested criteria. I would need to reach out to my loan officer to confirm these things. This pushed the process out more because I would need to resubmit or submit more things without him communicating that. He was very responsive and helpful when I did reach out thought. I am just the type of person who likes to over communicate.

Ryan was great as our Loan Officer. He communicated timely and effectively allowing us to lock in a better rate than we initially thought. I would recommend Ryan to anyone looking to purchase a home.

Communication was easy and often throughout the entire process

My experience with Mr. Frantzen was excellent. He was very prompt with responses and requests and if he missed a call he was always quick to get back in touch with me. My experience with my loan processor was not as good. While in the end the loan closed on time responses often wouldn't come in until the end of the following day that requests were sent. There was also an issue at closing where after all the documents were signed new documents were received by my Title company as I was walking out of the door and we had to sit down, review, and re-sign over 100 pages of documents.

Ryan & other NewRez associates were great about calling with status updates, as well as quick to respond to my questions and in providing clarification, when needed. We are so happy to have had a great team to work with, thank you! :-D

The team worked well and would answer my questions, however, on my final CD an additional fee was added to it that was not disclosed to me that was listed as an 'origination fee', however, we advertise for employees on the lead form website that there are NO ORIGINATION FEES. As an employee that was frustrating and misleading. I'm really unhappy about that.

Fast and efficient support

This is the third time I have tried to buy this house. I finally got it.

An assumption is a really uncommon senerio and he was more then knowledgeable about it and was a great help walking me through it.

I was updated on what was happening throughout the process and was able to call whenever I had questions or concerns.

This is not about Ryan, he did 10/10, this is about the process. It was a little frustrating trying to get in contact with Newrez before Ryan contacted us (afterwards there were zero issues). We received the response: "We do not answer phone calls, only email" and the response was short, clipped, and non-helpful (this is the response that my realtor received when we tried to contact Newrez via their contact info on their website, NOT via Ryan). In addition, when doing a loan assumption, it would be nice to let us know as soon as possible that loan assumptions take much longer than normal. We had to change our closing date and it wasn't until 2 days prior we were told this information. Had Newrez's website been more helpful, and whoever monitors that specific email address, we could have adjusted more easily. I was lucky the sellers were staying in the area for 3 months after we started the paperwork, otherwise I don't know if the process would have made it through.

I felt like the communication was lacking, especially in the second half of the process. It became difficult for me (And my realtor) to contact my loan processor, and that become extra frustrating when repeated delays were experienced. The delays WERE outside of NewRez's control, so I am not upset about those, but the difficulty in communication made things extra frustrating for both myself and the sellers, potentially jeopardizing the sale.

Very friendly, responsive and proactive and accessible

We were supposed to close a week earlier, but I was holding my money in the life insurance, which was not reassuring to the underwriters. Andrew Bily, with his experience, I feel he could have advised me to go ahead and take the cash from my life insurance and keep it in my savings account ready for the transaction. It caused quite the delay.

On my end, everything overall and generally met expectations. The initial timeline when first assigned Ryan as the loan officer where within reason and the closing date fell earlier than what was requested or the overall timeline for assumptions. The requested closing date was September 15th, with the likelihood that the closing would be no sooner than the end of August. The actual closing date ended up being August 24.

It was nice to receive phone calls and talk to the processor at different times throughout the process.

Ryan was GREAT throughout our process. The other employees we encountered are not of the same caliber. Alaina in particular lacked communication skills and appreciation for responsiveness to MOST questions or concerns we asked. It was quite unpleasant to be days out from closing and still being asked for documents that had previously been sent. Between our agent and myself/husband we consistently had to prompt or remind her to communicate with us and the title companies. If Ryan would have been responsible for ALL communication and work on our behalf the recommendation score for NewRez would be higher. Unfortunately Alaina caused us the MOST stress during the time frame.

From the very beginning, I Newrez did not give me a hard time they took my information they didn?t asked for information to get it then turn around and they have to ask for more information and get it and so forth. They ask for everything only once and everything move forward. My only issue is the process took 45 days.

Ryan was a great during the whole closing process and understood what I was looking to do. He also helped me close in under 30 days and on time even after I had to switch from another lender last minute. I overall satisfied with the service he provided.
