My buyer was working with another lender who told her after we had gone under contract that she couldn't help her based on the property type. I immediately called Allison who swooped in and saved the day. We hit another snag a few days before closing when the buyer was ready to walk away and Allison helped me get creative with some different scenarios to help get the transaction to the closing table. On another note, Allison is always willing to answer any questions about anything loan related that I have even if she isn't the one working on the loan. She is a great resource for me!

Of course I pay attention to the email updates etc that I receive during my client's loan process, but I've found that I don't have to constantly check in with the loan officer to make sure everything is progressing smoothly during the process because they always beat me to the punch with updates. And Shelter's team is always so thorough. At my most recent closing there was a tiny legal snafu due to semantics within a sentence in one of the attorney's documents relating to the loan and all things came to a standstill. Allison the loan officer happened to check in with my client via text on the progress of things right about this time. My client informed her of the situation and Allison went straight to the sole decision maker at Shelter that had the authority to rectify the issue and only minutes later word came to the attorneys that it had been resolved. This expeditious resolution would not have happened had the loan officer not checked in on the status of things with her/my client during the closing -- a RARITYwith other lenders from my experience over the last 8 1/2 years.
