First, it has been 23 years since I purchased a house. Also, I absolutely do not know the sharing of information with all parties on New Rez?s side. As a 20 year, or so, customer of yours with an excellent credit score, I felt the process was ridiculously repetitive and difficult. The evening before we sold our house, and the evening before we purchased our new house we were told that our closes would not take place on the expected day due to missing documents, after being told earlier in the day that all documents were in order and the close was on schedule. That was not an option for us, and we expressed it very directly. That was a highly stressful circumstance for all three parties involved. For you folks who do this every day, everything is urgent, therefore nothing is urgent. Calling us at 5:30 Pm and telling us that our close would not close because the law office requires that all doc?s need to be in their office 24 hours before the close?., unacceptable! I could go on and on, but I will stop here. Ultimately, we closed on the scheduled day but not at the convenient location we expected. Overall, I felt the process was unnecessarily stressful, customer service prioritization took a back seat to company rules, perhaps more on the law firm side than New Rez, but to me it does not matter. I appreciate the hard work that ultimate allowed us to close on the right day, but I will forever remember this close as much more stressful than it needed to be.
