More communication from all players. Emails went unanswered for several days or not at all. Important information I needed was not presented to me in a timely manner or not at all. Information that was normal operating procedure was withheld from me which delayed the process. I was ask to send papers in 3 times that was the wrong reports to begin with and had already been recieved by another team member which showed me there was no communication between the agents, or one of the agents was not seeing the request had been fullfilled. Also I was told by an agent they had been waiting for weeks for a decision from the VA because they wanted different information from me. If it had been me processing the loan I would have called the client and informed them what the hold up was. I had to call several times to get this disappointing news, then all of a sudden out of nowhere the VA changed their minds concerning the information they wanted from me that was holding everything up, now had changed. Magically! They decided they didnt want it. The ball started rolling again. I think someone let my stuff sit on their desk and did not get woke up again until I began to call and inquire to why this is taking so long.

The whole process was great, they kept me informed in the step by step.

The underwriter and their unwillingness to accept my divorce papers. My divorce was final in 2018 and I had to go back to the courts twice to try and get what they wanted and it still wasn't enough. Still trying to figure out how children and alimony have anything to do with a home equity loan. I understand wanting to make sure I'm not married but again, where do children and alimony come in on a $90K loan. Needless to say it was frustrating and left a sour taste in my mouth. I know it's not Bill's fault but that's why my experience was just OK.

There was a hiccup in my loan process, due to an inaccurate appraisal, so my loan took a bit longer to go through than expected, but Bill kept me informed and up to date through the whole thing. When we first started the process, we were given a loan officer that come to find out later on did not know how to handle our account. I?ll start by saying Bill Kokosko was great to work with! When my loan went to processing and underwriting I felt like I was being treated like someone filing bankruptcy. My previous loan was through NewRez and I?ve never missed or been late on a payment. I?ve never been late on a payment for any of my loans for that matter. The amount of back up, financials, letters etc. I had to provide for underwriting was ridiculous for an existing client who has done nothing but pay on time and never filed! Even the Notary made a comment at my place while signing, stating that she had never seen someone have to sign so many documents?. NewRez should treat existing customers who pay their bills on time with a little more respect in my opinion. Thanks
