Working with Trish Irwin is the only thing that kept us with Newrez. Otherwise we would have gone to another company. We had over a $1,000,0023.00 in funds and the underwriter wouldn't count all our funds since we are under 59 1/2, eventhough our Brokerage company, Vanguard, stated that we had FULL access to ALL our funds! We almost cut the deal. We felt the underwriter was AGE discriminating towards us. Our credit scores were 824 and 797 and we had no dings on our record. This is the 8th house we have purchased and Trish Irwin has been our best loan office.

I would have appreciated advance warnings when receiving emails from persons unknown to me requesting my personal information because Email phishing is extremely high so proactive communication is appropriate. I also have not received any communication from the new HELOC vendor and have no idea when/if they will reach out in a timely manner and am concerned about being able to get heat in my home before winter hits. In sum, Newrez did a good job getting our needs taken care of promptly, the HELOC vendor lack of communication is concerning me.

I'm not sure, it was a very confusing time. Everything happened quicker than anticipated. I don't feel that our realtor communicated with us on the steps for a home purchase. The paperwork was not explained and we felt like we were just told what to do without explination.
